There are no paved roads on the island. The twisting sand trails through tropical foliage and adds to the charm and appeal of the island. They are fantastic for early morning or late evening strolls. Some guests opt to rent a golf cart for more access or longer excursions to explore the beauty of the island.
Plenty of flats and deep sea gulf fishing are at your door. Dolphins are regular guests in the gulf and bay and Manatees (sea cows) are occasionally sighted in the bay. You can observe the natural habitat in the bay with mangroves, starfish, conch shells, sea grass and horseshoe crabs; and in the gulf by collecting the prehistoric sharks teeth that wash ashore and finding sand dollars on a shallow sandbar.
